Aura Acquires Eventum, Strengthens Its Event Offering and Launches a Brand-New Agency

Aura Group has acquired Eventum, one of Sweden’s most acclaimed event agencies and named Agency of the Year for the second consecutive year. Through this acquisition, Aura aims to combine Eventum with its existing agencies, Creo and Wonderland, to create a new company offering the strongest event offering on the market, with motion media playing a key role. The focus will be on value-creating physical and digital experiences, where creativity and strategy are complemented by technical expertise, superior service, and high-quality execution. The new agency, set to become one of the largest event agencies in the country, is expected to be led by Jimmy Rodhelind, who most recently held the same position at Jung, also owned by Aura.

“At Aura, trust and growth go hand in hand. It reflects both our market offering and our ability to meet the complex needs of our clients. Trust and growth have also been the cornerstones of Eventum for 40 years – their client satisfaction and delivery quality have brought them to the very top. With Eventum, Wonderland, and Creo, we see an opportunity to build a truly powerful offering, making us one of Sweden’s largest event agencies. It is with great pleasure that we welcome Eventum to Aura, and Jimmy to his new role,” says Martin Petersson, CEO of Aura Group.

Both Creo and Wonderland are today leaders in their respective fields and already have an established collaboration. Creo specializes in corporate events and motion media. Wonderland focuses on value-driven experiences for both the consumer and corporate markets. The acquisition of Eventum marks the starting point for the creation of a new agency, set to launch externally this fall.

“We are proud and delighted that Eventum is now becoming part of a larger context, with the opportunity to fully realize its potential. As long-time owners, Petter Håkanson and I have been committed to ensuring that the agency continues to grow in a sustainable and long-term way. That’s why we couldn’t imagine a better buyer for Eventum than Aura. For us, it’s a strong sign of confidence. We also see Aura’s acquisition as having tremendous potential for both Eventum’s clients and employees, and we look forward to continuing to contribute from the outside,” says Staffan Holm, co-owner of Eventum.

The new agency is intended to be led by Jimmy Rodhelind, who most recently held the role of CEO at Aura-owned Jung. Jimmy brings extensive experience in building strong company cultures combined with attractive market offerings that generate high profitability.

“I’m incredibly excited to build an entirely new agency together with Eventum, Creo, and Wonderland. With a strong market offering that meets the current and future demand for advanced solutions for human connection, we aim to create something truly new and exciting. Together, we will merge three outstanding agencies and shape the most attractive workplace in Sweden’s event industry,” says Jimmy Rodhelind.

The new agency will have more than 50 employees, fee income exceeding SEK 70 million, and a turnover of approximately SEK 170 million. Marie Karlsson (CEO of Eventum), Niclas Grunewald (CEO of Creo), and Jenny Borthen (CEO of Wonderland) will all play prominent roles in shaping the new offering.
